Pillowcase Dresses - so Adorable!!

My latest posting on Etsy is a PDF Pattern with step by step instructions on creating a Pillowcase Dress. These are very popular these days since they are 1. easy to make and 2. adorable. This came out of me wanting to make Megan some "Pillowcase Dresses" but I couldn't find any information that made sense to me. Plus I didn't want to spend $9 on a pattern. So, I gathered information and then decided that I needed to breakdown the whole pattern and that is exactly what I did. I am so proud of the finished product, and at just $4 for the PDF pattern I think it is a steal.

I am going to be putting on other patterns as well. The Petal 1/2 Apron that I made in a previous listing, I am going to be making that one in a little girl size, 15 - 18 inch baby doll size (CPK) and a barbie size. They will be in one PDF pattern for $4 as well.
Be sure to check out my store and my latest listings!!

Petal half apron with pocket

My cousin Angie asked me about making her a peasant skirt that had petals hanging down so she could wipe her hands on the petals (she has goats, and a huge garden so she is always working). I got the idea for this apron from that. I free handed a petal design on butcher paper and decided to use different fabrics, and it came out beautifully. The center petal is a pick cord fabric. I wanted the center to be stury since it was going to support a pocket. I love the colors of this little apron, and Megan was completely enchanted by it.

Megan always looks so serious when she has to model something. Patrick says that he is annoyed with me because he wants to model something. So...know I have to think of something amazing for a little boy that will allow him to model it.

Star Wars infant fleece slippers

Latest posting at BaaBaaMoos.etsy.com -- I made these yesterday and I love them. They are so soft and adorable. I had bought a remnant of orange fleece about 3 years ago and it sat in my fabric closet for that long. Finally, I was pulling out my boy fabric and I saw the Star Wars Logo and said I have to make slippers, and here is the finished product. These are sized at a 3 to 6 months size.

I have fabric for 3 other pairs, so e-mail me if you are interested.

100% Cotton Princess Dress

Here is my latest sewing project for BaaBaaMoos. I have used cotton to make a princess dress. Megan is so rough and tumble, and she loves to wear her costumes everywhere, that cotton is the only fabric that is going to last.

I added some cute touches to it making it unique.

She is thrilled to be the model, but it gives you a sense of the size of the dress. Megan wears a 5 almost exactly.

This dress is for sale in my shop at www.BaaBaaMoos.etsy.com

I can also make sizes 2,3,4, or 5. Available fabrics are the baby blue, light pink, and lavendar. Dress usually has a 2 day turn around depending on other projects.

Barbie Cloak

Okay, so this is how this came about. I was going through my Halloween Fabric (I only have 2 boxes of it) and I saw this awesome purple fabric with little bats on it. Well, I just couldn't decide what I wanted to make out of it...when it hit me. Barbie Cloak.

The little dress under the cloak is adorable. I converted a pocahontas pattern and it really came out lovely. I am going to be making another cape, but this time with a spider web fabric. Hope it turns out as cute.

My latest CPK postings

I cut out little butterflies and appliqued them to the side of the pants...adorable. Some of my best work. I have a ton of patterns, but most of the time they aren't quite what I am looking for. I guess you could say I am tired of seeing the frilly little dress with the pinafore.

I am working on creating my own patterns. I find that it is very liberating, plus it just makes me feel a part of Project Runway. Just kidding.

I decided with this particular outfit I wanted lace. Kind of like those boutique outfits for little girls that are so popular. I usually make shoes for my outfits, but this time I didn't...looking for something a little more plain. But I will make more shoes and post them on my site separately.

Here is the outfit shirt and all with it's butterfly on the sleeveless top.

If you are interested in this outfit, please feel free to look at my etsy store, or contact me if you are looking for different colors.

BaaBaaMoos

Well, I decided to Blog about my Etsy store. Why not, I am a shameless self promoter anyway. So, for those of you who don't know, I have a Etsy store called BaaBaaMoos. Okay, I know the whole Blog is devoted by BaaBaaMoos (I just can't help myself). Here is my Etsy site address www.BaaBaaMoos.etsy.com Okay, I am shameless. Anyway, I haven't, as of yet fallen into a niche. I am still trying to find my crafting identity (so to speak).

I make handmade doll clothes for Barbie and Cabbage Patch Kids. Which in and of itself is difficult to do since everything is so small (speaking of barbie, CPK is easy). But how do you really start to sell? I ask myself that all of the time. What sets one person apart from the rest? Is it pictures or personality? Nope is Promotion. How do we know you are there if you don't promote yourself. So, here is my blog on promoting myself.
